When I was in the depths of my eating disorder, I longed for a friend who I could talk to who knew what it was like to have binge eating disorder.

 

I didn’t know who I could talk to, and it was really lonely. There were also so few resources online at that point for Binge Eating Disorder, and the information I did find about it felt stale, judgmental, or all together unhelpful.

 

Now that I’m recovered, I get to share my expertise and knowledge with coaching clients and the Binge Eating Hope community.

While I haven’t struggled with an eating disorder myself, I have watched Shannon, my fiancé battle hers. I am proud of her for using her voice to help others.

 

I’m currently a fourth year medical student studying to become a psychiatrist. I’m passionate about helping folks with eating disorders navigate the health care system and have more positive experiences with doctors.

 

I believe that everyone, regardless of age, sex, religion, gender, size, race, ethnicity is deserving of high quality health care, and kind physicians.
